Brent Korte

Brent Korte is an accomplished executive, strategist, and nationally recognized thought leader in home care. Driven by a passion for people and endless determination, Brent has built, improved, and turned around seven home-based care businesses in his career.

Beginning his career with a home care leadership position at Maxim Healthcare in Seattle. Less than a year later, he was promoted to start his own new agency in Colorado. Sixteen months later, Brent had built a highly profitable and reputable business, and then returned to Seattle to rebuild Maxim’s Seattle location, creating the largest and most financially productive agency in the company.

Returning to the workforce in 2010 after spending two years with his wife exploring 56 countries and climbing mountains on five continents, Brent rebuilt operations at two national home care companies before being recruited to EvergreenHealth. He grew it to become the largest home health and hospice provider in the Pacific Northwest, delivering best-in-class quality and patient experience while producing an excellent bottom line.

Brent completed his Master’s in Health Administration during the pandemic, graduating top of his class at Cornell University’s Sloan School, and currently serves as Secretary on the board of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice. He is President-Elect of the Home Care Association of Washington, serves on Advisory Boards of Cardinal at Home, Netsmart, and Axxess Technologies, and is a guest lecturer at the University of Washington, Washington State University, and Cornell University.

When not working, Brent is happiest exploring new paths with his wife, Kori, and their three very busy children.

Alex Van Gundy

Alex Van Gundy is the Manager of Data and Business Analytics with more than ten years of experience in the healthcare industry. In his role, Alex manages financial and business operations in the home healthcare division. He is exceptionally adept at applying financial and operational analytics in a digestible way to allow for informative decisions. Throughout his career, Alex has displayed strong interpersonal communications skills and works closely with executives and peers alike to strategize, collaborate and spearhead initiatives to positively impact business metrics. In 2020, when many other healthcare providers struggled to accelerate growth, Alex led initiatives to increase his service line’s margins by 2%. Alex’s responsibilities also include budgeting for a department which does $90M in revenue with 500 employees.

Alex was born in Dallas, Texas and resides in Washington today. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2012 and considers himself a diehard football fan of his alma mater. He completed his Finance MBA at Washington State University in August of 2022.

In his free time, Alex enjoys spending time and going on walks with his wife, Stephanie.

Molly McDonald

Molly McDonald is the Vice President of Quality and Compliance and has an extensive background in the Home Care Industry. Working in quality and compliance allows her to support and lead the entire spectrum of the agency This includes everything from referral intake to clinical practice and billing. Molly is exceptionally skilled at bridging the gap between the financial, quality, and clinical aspects of agency operations. In her previous role, Molly was responsible for designing and implementing multiple new programs including Value Based Purchasing, Star Ratings and a new payment model which have driven the business towards its goals. She is an experienced speaker and has presented as a subject matter expert at the national level on topics including payment models, quality, and utilization. Molly defines the true “health of an agency” as something that encompasses the people, the finances and quality.

Molly started her career as a contract/traveling physical therapist and found her way to home care and then to quality and regulatory compliance where she has held multiple roles in the last 10 years. As a former NCAA division one athlete at the University of Nebraska, effective team dynamics have always played an important role in her life and career. She grew up in a large family in North Dakota and has lived on the West Coast with her husband the last 15 years. Molly holds an MBA from the University of Colorado with an emphasis in Health Administration, a Master in Physical Therapy and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota.
